Spring Reading Thing 2010 – Wrap Up

What was your favorite book that you read this spring?
My favorite book was The Help by Kathryn Stockett. It is set in Jackson, Mississippi during the civil rights movement. It was one of those books that I couldn’t put down until it was finished.
What was your least favorite book that you read this spring? Why?
My least favorite book was Fireworks Over Toccoa by Jeffrey Stepakof. It is set in Toccoa, Georgia during the summer of 1945. While it wasn’t a bad book, it just took me a while to really get into the story line.
Overall, I finished most of the books on my list, except for one non-fiction and one fiction.
Non-Fiction
- 5 Conversations You Must Have With Your Daughter – Vicki Courtney
- Green Mama: The Guilt-Free Guide to Helping You and Your Kids Save the Planet – Tracey Bianchi
- Living With Less So Your Family Has More – Mark and Jill Savage
- In an Instant: A Family’s Journey of Love and Healing – Lee Woodruff
Fiction
- The Rivers Run Dry – Sibella Giorello
- The Missing – Beverly Lewis
- Split Second – David Baldacci
- A Catered Murder – Isis Crawford
- Healing Waters – Nancy Rue and Stephen Arterburn
Bible Studies & Devotions
- What Does the Bible Say about That – Carolyn Larson (with the kids)
Book Club
- The Help – Kathryn Stockett
- Fireworks Over Toccoa – Jeffrey Stepakoff
